This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was very useful in helping me to actually formulate a lot of the good habits that I've learned over the years as well as being able to isolate one or two bad habits that I may have had. For example. I was surprised to know that the Boomerang and patchwork methods of switching around between the Engage, study, and activate activities in order to actively engage the students and meet their needs as effectively as possible according to what each lesson requires. The thing that I believe that I can improve on, is that I was given a very strict straight method plan from many of my schools, so I always planned for this in my classes. I will feel much more free to actually plan more complex classes instead of just adapting without a plan. I am also very familiar with most of the activities listed, but it helps me to have a little more effective knowledge of which activities match up with which part of the lesson and why.
