In this unit, I learned about evaluation and testing of students. Exams and similar skill-testing activities are useful for assessing the level and progress of students. They also are very useful for finding gaps and weaknesses in their understanding. This information is important for future lesson planning and to prepare them for external tests, if that is their goal.Reported speech and conditionals were explored in this unit. As always, the ideas for teaching the principles is most helpful and possibly something that will be used time and again. For a native speaker, the theory behind conditionals, although previously studied, is enlightening. Reported speech is a necessary component as this is often used in communicative English.
