This unit is really informative. Placement tests, diagnosis tests, progress tests, etc are important in the process of learning a new language. Being in the right level, knowing your progress and the teacher can be sure he/she is giving the appropriate material. The other tests mentioned in the unit can be very useful. Especially if a student wants to learn more about English language, work in English or emmigrate.This chapter helped me understand the differences between different past tense examples like past simple, past perfect, past perfect continuous etc. It was extremely informative understanding the difference between the terms so that I could use them in class in order to effectively teach my students. The similarities and trends are similar to the present tense words such as continuous tenses always having \"ing\".
