This unit provides information on the teaching of special groups, including beginners, individual students, children and Business English learners (or people learning English for specific purposes). The text provides the features of each group, ideas of teaching, class management schemes, and the general dos and don?ts. These pieces of information are very specific and can be really helpful in real-life teaching.This unit, together with the productive and receptive skill video, has helped me to add more details to the tasked lesson plans. The video was especially useful in providing examples of practical teaching and how to match the exercises and activities to accommodate student ability. It appeared to me though that the gap-fill questions in exercise B were over simplified when compared to the higher level of the text.
