This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This is a unit that focuses on productive skills-speaking and writing. The unit further discuses the diference between accuracy and fluency activities and what is more important. The unit discusses the speaking activities in the classroom, encouragement of students to speak and the techniques to use in the teaching. I have learnt how to use the productive skills in the ESA lesson and how to teach the writing skills. This unit covered managing a class. It dealt with using body language, voice and class set up to your class's advantage. I feel much of the content was known to me from my own experiences in education as a student, but it was nice to see it 'from the other side' and read about it explicitly. Because of this class I will consider the set-up of the room so it matches the activity and atmosphere I am trying to foster.
