This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit covers conditionals and reported speech. Conditionals are broken down into 5 types. Conditionals seem quite similar to if then statements found in computer programming or if then formulas used in excel spreadsheets. The nugget of information I found most important in reporting speech is changing tense. If someone is reporting what someone said in the past, then most often the tense needs to be changed.I am glad that the syllabus touch on the different potential problems we will face in an actual class. I find that building rapport might be the most important element to gain the interest of the students. It is useful to learn some tips from this lesson, especially for reluctant students and difficulties with listening texts. It is a great idea to use interesting activities to encourage learning among the students.
