I especially enjoyed this chapter. it included learning about the phonemic symbols and international alphabet. The videos were very helpful is demonstrating how to teach the international alphabet. This chapter also included intonation of sentences and stress of syllables and how changing intonation and stress changes the message of the sentence. The manner and place of articulation was also covered in this chapter.Unit 11 covers teaching receptive skills which are reading and listening skills providing the reasons for these particular skills ,why it is important for students to acquire these skills and how to go about teaching them to students.the unit also makes you aware of problems that might arise with reading and listening lessons and how to go about solving them as well as providing example exercises and lesson plans.
