This unit was helpful in terms of the more \"common sense\" side of teaching English. There are so many specific details that a teacher needs to know in terms of grammar, spelling, etc. that it is easy to overlook something so basic but so important: classroom control. There were several useful tips in terms of managing students and building rapport that I found very useful and will use in my classroom in the future.I liked the descriptions of lesson planning and what information should be included. It is also helpful to think through specific activities that relate to each state of the lesson (i.e. ESA). The example information and lesson are helpful to see how to practically put into practice. Many of the examples given are intended for older students, but I will work to change them to the right level for my young students.
