This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 15 addressed the range of evaluation and testing methods that can be used both in and out of the classroom setting. I was familiar with some of the individual tests, but not all. It was very helpful to see the focus and function of the various tests used by Cambridge and others. I would like to see more engagement in the classroom versus testing constantly, but I understand the need for placement and progress evaluations.Modals, Phrasal verbs, and passive voice is another example of high level English that will cause problems for students, if the teacher is not an expert. If the teacher is not able to communicate and explain the grammar clearly, these items will confuse students, and misunderstanding will stand in their way. Modals, can be misused, but I think are very important for shaping how the speaker wants to come across to the listener.
