In an existing group, the students should be comfortable with one another thus making it much easier for every one in the classroom to participate more efficiently. This creates a higher moral in the atmosphere as well. Warmers should not only be fun for the students, but fun for the teacher too. I never thought about assigning group leaders, but if I ever teach a larger sized class then I will certainly consider it.I have learnt that there are actually many innovative methods for a teacher to bring a lesson point across to their students. A common trend I have noticed is the strong emphasis on a student's participation in the lesson. Many of the methods will include and require students to participate actively. This allows students to practice the language more and hence be more familiar with the language in a shorter timespan.
