I found the ESA structure very interesting. Reflecting on the type of lessons I teach I realize that I have been following the Patchwork ESA lessons. Teaching young kids forces me to keep the lessons more interesting and engaging because their attention spans aren't very long. It helps to bounce back and forth between different activities and teaching them the same vocabulary, for example, using different techniques.In this unit we learned about the present tenses: present simple,present continuous, present perfect, present perfect continues. Each tense haso a rule about when and how to use it. We also learned of frequent irregular verbs,which we previously learned in unit 2.
We went through the most common mistakes students make, and how to correct them. Finally we learned about techniques to make the use of these verbs easier.
