In this unit we studied about special classes where students from various ages and professional backgrounds will be learning English. First we learned about one to one classrooms, where teachers may have to change their normal teaching patterns in or to accommodate a single student. Then, we looked at early childhood learners and how they can learn very quickly, but need fairly frequent stimulation to stay engaged. Finally, we looked at Business students who might be learning English after their job and could be tired from the days work. These students might have mixed ages and ability levels, so it is important for the teacher to take these things into consideration when planning the class.
