This lesson covered teaching productive language skills to students of English. As with receptive skills, it is important for the teacher to give the students a good motive for and interest in learning these skills. It is also vital that the teacher knows positive and efficient ways to get students to speak and write for themselves in English. This lesson provided several good ideas and guidelines.In this unit, I have learnt that there are different ways in which individuals take in information - reading and listening. I have also learnt that individuals use different skills when they are looking for general or specific information. It is important to keep students engaged at all times and pre-teach any vocabulary before the activity stage, otherwise it may hinder their performance in class.
