Unit 11 highlights the importance of reading and listening, and teaches ways to teach receptive listening. I learned about reasons for why people read/listen, and the different ways people read/listen based on why they are reading or listening. I learned about how important it is to pre-teach difficult vocabulary before instructing students to read or listen to material with words they have not yet learned.This unit is an Introduction to Grammar/Parts of Speech in the English language. Nouns (main types, plurals, countable and uncountable), Adjectives, Comparisons (comparatives and superlatives), Articles, Verbs (transitive, intransitive and infinitives), verb forms, auxiliary verbs, Adverbs, Gerunds, Pronouns (personal, possessive, reflective and relative), and prepositions and conjunctions are all covered.
