It was very interesting seeing the extreme differences between the two lessons. The first was very boring I almost fell asleep, no wonder the students weren't participating! The teacher was also very stern and not very understanding. The second lesson the teacher actually introduced himself with a good morning and a smile and with his name so straight way he had the classes attention in a good way!The different criteria for how you should teach vocabulary, grammar, and language functions were all interesting to see. With Grammar and language function it is more cut in and dry then for vocabulary. On when to teach vocabulary consists of appropriacy to the students, to the task, frequency and coverage, and teach-ability. This will all vary from class to class and I found this most interesting.
