This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I found this unit quite difficult i wasn't to familiar with phonology before I read this particular unit. I learned quite a bit myself, with the word stress and which words to stress and which ones not to stress. I believe this would be probably the most difficult aspect of learning a new language students might run into. Especially with their first language interference causing pronunciation difficulties already. This unit covered a variety of topics that will be really useful for gauging what sort of materials, activities, and pacing to use in different classrooms. I was most unsure of what to do with young learners so that particular sections is one I will likely reference in the future. The business English sections was helpful in that it covered a variety of ideas including what to do before, during, and after the course.
