Some of the various teaching methods seems a bit silly while others seem very useful. I've seem the Engage-Study-Activate approach taken often in language courses I've taken and it is very effective. I'm surprised I never noticed the clear methodology in use by most of today's teachers - which is essentially the same as the methodology covered in this course.Writing and speaking are very important skills that must not be taught in isolation. But as important as they may be, my students only prefer speaking and find it difficult to write. Not that they can't write but they are being lazy.But we try as much as possible to put our writing in paragraphs instead of writing the whole,we do it in part to encourage them.
