Pronunciation and phonology are very important aspects of English and this unit is designed to make teaching them easy and interesting too. The unit also contains teaching techniques, phonemic chart, drawings etc for refrence purposes.The unit on teaching receptive skills was very informative; it stated that there are two types of receptive skill: reading and listening. They both have individual challenges. However there are a set of specific skill that benefit both such as: predictive skills, skimming, scanning, detailed information and deduction. The unit then goes on to explain how to approach language difficulties.
