This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit covered modal auxiliary verbs, the passive voice, relative clauses and phrasal verbs. It provided definitions and/or tables for each grammar item and provided examples.
I think this unit covers too many (rather unrelated) topics and thus might be a little hard to follow. What I did like was the task sheet and the tables, they helped me understanding the grammar. IT might be a good idea to group the topics differently. It is interesting how languages differ in the amount of tenses they have. English has 12 tenses, and I can see how that can easily overwhelm students trying to learn the language. Though I know how to correctly use them after 29 years of speaking English, Unit 4 was helpful in the way the sections were split up into affirmative, negative and question formats, and I can see myself using a similar format in the classroom one day.
