This unit really helped me with brainstorming ideas of how to gain a good rapport with a class and to stay in control. In other words, it is important to have a positively-managed class because it creates the best learning environment. It is important because the students need to be able to want to come to class to learn and feel safe while they are in the class with whatever activity.Although I have given thought to the pros and cons of different activities, I hadn't thought much on the strategies to ensure a balance in the classroom. I believe the most important aspect of this lesson is that a teachers rapport is paramount to student learning. Position, tone, timing of lesson activities, and individual attention are all important and must be maintained in balance.
