Lesson plans are a useful and important tool for new teachers. Without a lesson plan an inexperienced teacher might have difficulty keeping students engaged for the length of the class. The best lesson plan is one which provides structure yet still allows the teacher flexibility to adjust to specific needs of the class. Lesson plans also serve as records for teachers to remember which teaching methods were used and which were successful.The students looked puzzled and confused in the first lesson. the teacher did too much unnecessary board work, he spent too much time with his back to the students. He didn't want to answer the students questions and he pretended not to understand them when they asked something. Such a bad lesson! In the secnd lesson the teacher smiled and looked friendly. He started with learning the students' names which helped to establish good rapport.
