This unit was short, but just like the present tense forms it is a valuable tool to help me teach. I like how the lesson has taught me about common mistakes students have made. This will help me to be more prepared on the spot. I like the activate stage teaching idea of getting the students to retell a story backwards, starting at the end and describing what had already happened. This is a fun and rewarding exercise.In this unit, I learned the most about reported speech. I think that i learned how to translate the speech from the tense that it is in to the new tense when reporting it. I will say that I think that the unit materials should of had more examples of each of these tenses. how they are when you are reporting it. I also learned the names of the conditional tenses. I knew the tenses before, but I didn't know the names.
