This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was fairly difficult for me, being that there are so many forms of the present tense. Many of the questions asked were difficult to answer because the similarities between present perfect and present perfect continuous. However, the \"typical student errors\" section was helpful because it allowed me to see how certain students (and myself) might confuse the different forms and usages of each present tense.I struggled with this one because while I know my verb tenses and when to use them, I don't know they're exact labels. This unit has shown me that I need to spend more time group the different past tenses into their categories and usage, so that I could better teach my students how to tell the difference between a simple past and past continuous, which will then help them realize does it get was/were or had or what.
