In Unit 12 we have learnt about teaching productive skills: speaking and writing. We looked at both fluency and accuracy, factors that may affect students when learning productive skills, how to encourage students to speak in class, and finally, what kind of activities we can work with to study and activate speaking and writing. At the end of the lesson, we also reviewed how to give feedback in a constructive manner.The unit contains information about teaching new language and has three main parts: teaching vocabulary, teaching grammatical structures and teaching language functions. For each of them there is an explanation of techniques teachers should use when planning the lessons. I had no difficuties to understand the content and I feel able to use my newly gained kowledge about different phases of lessons to use in practise.
