This unit covered the three types of ways to assess a student's learning: tutorials, student evals, and tests. Testing and feedback from student to teacher are important to gauge a student's progress throughout the course, but also to give the teacher an idea of which lessons need to be reinforced. Formal tests serve a twofold purpose: student feedback and learning student needs going forward in the class.This unit outlines the four different types of past tense, the sentence structure of each past tense as well as examples of irregular verbs associated with the past tense. As with the unit on present tenses, this unit has helped me understand how to better explain the usages of each type of past tense. The unit also provides tips on common student errors that I can take into account during lesson planning.
