I learned how to use cyborlink.com to increase my knowledge and awareness of cultures around the world. It's a handy reference to have, especially if you plan on making a move to another region or country. There were a few other references named in this unit like Lonely Planet and Culture Shock books. I have read some Lonely Planet books before. I have never read the Culture Shock series.I was particularly interested in reading about the ESA method, which I had not heard of. The method that I was trained to use was the PPP, Presentation Practice and Production method. However, I do agree that the PPP method may not be the best choice for certain levels. Engage, Study, Activate is a great approach to be able to provide students a lesson built around many different methods.
