After this unit I have a fair understanding of the basics of English grammar, sufficient to teach it as a second language. What I've learned about the tenses from previous lessons have come in very useful while reading this unit. The examples given to teach students have made me think about some examples of my own and also understand the usage of thr right form of grammar in a sentence.This unit was about teaching new language. It covered the similarities and differences teachers encounter when teaching vocabulary, grammar, and language functions. I was unfamiliar with the concept of language functions, so this part of the unit was the most interesting to me. They include the ways we use language to accomplish different tasks, such as inviting, refusing, and agreeing.
