This has been a fairly straight forward lesson with basic information around the importance of engaging students for reading and listening. What was of most value to me were the details on how to incorporate the information from this lesson into an actual class for students. Setting out the different parts of the lesson and the sample activities are helpful in making the concepts concrete and applicable.The current unit discusses lesson plans and lesson planning. The unit gives an overview of why lesson planning is important while keeping the learning process centered on the student. The unit discusses the strengths and limitations of lesson planning and offers suggestions as to the best lesson planning structure which provides guidelines for the class but allows for the lesson to remain student-centered.
