Unit 4 discusses EFL has more tenses in English grammar than just the present, past, and future tenses. It discusses four aspects included within the present, past, and future tenses such as simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous. It is important because it helps non-native speakers recognize the patterns of tense/time not always represented in the native language of a student.This chapter was a great guide on future tenses. I particularly liked the teaching ideas for each of the grammar points, especially the songs listed for the future simple tense. My students in Japan learn future tenses in their second year of junior high school, and it's mostly a combination of future simple and going to future. I look forward to using some of these ideas in future lessons.
