Explanations of authentic versus non-authentic materials and the pros and cons of each type. Based upon the presentation, I would use authentic materials as much as possible and design any worksheets and activities around the authentic materials. Lesson plan preparation and uses were presented. Resources and web sites with resources were displayed. (Note: the rong-chan URL is not working).A very challenging chapter, I am unsure if I fully grasped all of it in several settings and may need to return to it. I am still not fully rounded on the Straight Arrow ESA lesson despite returning to the previous unit. However, this unit did provide examples for how to plan a lesson which I found new and interesting and I can see myself following the Lesson Plan and Self Evaluation Forms.
