Productive skills are just as important as receptive skills, and can have different uses! Productive skills include writing and speaking, and require the students be actively engaged in class and in their studies. While productive skills cannot be used all the time, they have their place in the class room and can even help students become more comfortable with the language.In this Unit, I got to know various stages of a lesson. It helped me find out that a lesson typically consists of 3 main phases, i.e. the engage phase, the activate phase, and the study phase, which, however, may vary in accordance with the certain tasks a teacher sets for a particular lesson. Besides, I found out different activities commonly used during each lesson phase.
