I learn that teaching aids can make lessons more interesting, captivating and effective. Teachers that use teaching aids tend to be less dependent on their course book in their teaching. Turning to other resources to adapt, replace, or supplement the text book would often times make lessons more effective as it caters to the needs of the learners in a specific way. There are different types of teaching aids available. Some teaching aids are the white board, Interactive whiteboards, Overhead Projector, visual aids, worksheets and work cards, the cassette recorder, videos and DVDs, dictionaries, resource books, photocopiers, and computers. An effective teacher would know how to use his teaching tools effectively.
