Unit 2 covered the basics of parts of speech. This included sentence structure, types of nouns (common, proper, compound, abstract, collective, countable, and uncountable), adjectives (comparative and superlative), verbs (transitive or intransitive), articles, gerunds, pronouns, prepositions, and conjunctions. I?ve learned how to identify and categorize different parts of speech within a sentence.This unit has allowed me to understand why the use of course books can be a good resource to use in the classroom and also why they should not be used all of the time as a perminant solution to planning a lesson for the classroom. It has taught me that I would like to ideally use a mixture of the two resources, ones that I have tailored to the class and ones that are connected to a fixed syllabuses.
