The speaking and writing unit was pretty straight forward. It will be interesting to meet people from around the world who have a different alphabet and writing style. It will take a lot of care to help cater to students with such a different education. I like how useful games can be with the teaching process, learning should be fun because when it seems like a very serious activity it can seem like a chore not an opportunity.This unit was important to know as it provided me with an understanding of the different types of reading types and purposes behind using them (such as skimming, scanning, and predictive). However what I found to be the most beneficial in this particular unit was the worksheets at the end. The worksheets provide a great example of the type of sheets I will be working with in the future and it was nice to get an idea of that.
