Even though we as teachers may get course materials provided for us, it is important to be creative and supplement, adapt, omit, or replace material if it is not beneficial, relevant or interesting. We must keep the needs of the student in mind and motivate them to learn. The course book needs to be the right language level for your student, cover all the skills, and be \"user friendly\".The content of this unit covered the evaluation of students. Ways in which students can be assessed range from tutorials, student evaluations and tests. A number of tests can be assigned to evaluate a student's language level, such as placement tests, progress tests and so forth. Providing an example of a placement test gave me some insights and helped me learn the content of such a test.
