This unit was interesting as it showed the importance of the age of the class when teaching English. The section on teaching Business English was particularly interesting as it is different in many ways to what we have learned so far. However, I do feel that teachers teaching business language should have some understanding of the student's industry as this will allow the teacher to make what is being taught more relatable to the students.This unit focused on course books and lesson materials. It discussed the advantages and disadvantages of using course books as well as the source and type of learning materials. I have learned about the role of authentic and created materials. The importance of adapting course book and other learning materials to the class was also of interest to me, particularly because it helped me see how one can make classes more engaging and relevant.
