This unit covers different approaches to implementing teaching materials effectively. Essentially, there are two schools of thought, one which puts more focus on a single course textbook, and one that does not. I found this unit useful because often it is difficult to decide between using a book or using my own created materials, so its helpful to see a full list of the pros and cons of each option.This unit covered past tense such as past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. It explained each tense and how that tense works as well as when to use that tense. This unit also explained certain problems that students may have when learning the past tense. I learned about these different tenses and what each tense is used for and how to communicate that with students.
