This unit covers that various different usages of exams within the teaching environment. Testing the students is a vital part of teaching to understand the individual students level of English. A placement exam would normally be given at the start of a students entry to a school of English to evaluate their level. Then regular progress exams are given throughout their learning to ensure they are learning the material.In this unit i learned about teaching vocabulary to students by appropriate methods and what do students need to know about vocabulary (e.g meaning,usage,spelling etc) and techniques for vocabulary in different phase(Engage,study,activate)introduction to new language structure and techniques for presenting and practicing new language structure. i also learned about straight arrow,patchwork,and boomerang ESA structure.
