This is an important lesson because it taught me to not just stick with the book material because it the lesson would be boring and the students will get bored. Instead I should analyze the book material and choose material from the book that could be useful in a lesson. Also, that there are many things I have to take into consideration before picking a coursebook to use, like price of the book and how relevant it is.Having a course book in the class can be helpful since it is like a map but depending too much on it is not a good idea. Creativity is essential to get students engaged, interested and participative. It is not mandatory to follow the book by book. Some extra activities can be added in order to reinforced a topic. Adapting topics to the local culture is necessary so students can see the real and practical use for them.
