This unit gives a rather extensive description of classroom management. Various aspects like the role of the teacher and managing behavior problems of the students are discussed in detail. The Unit introduces the concept of TTT and STT and gives examples of teaching methods to reduce TTT and increase STT. Furthermore, tips are given for the usage of voice, gestures, visual aids and games to maintain students interest and respect.In this final unit, several common issues that may arise in the classroom are covered and how to handle those issues. It discusses how to handle the dreaded first lesson. This first lesson should not use the course book but rather be about getting to know your students and warm them up to class with some fun activities. I learned that when faced with students using their L1, I should encourage English and only respond to English.
