Unit 9 focused on why lesson planning is important, the importance of being organized, and what should be included in a lesson plan. I learned that it is important to have a lesson plan to help guide a teacher through a lesson and to stay on target, and I learned that it is important to keep track of learner objectives in a lesson plan to ensure that students are able to accomplish the tasks of the lesson by the end of class.This unit covers coursebooks and classroom materials as well as the used of created materials in the classroom. This is important because choosing the right coursebook and classroom materials is an important aspect of having a successful classroom. Another important point brought up in this unit is how to supplement a coursebook to keep the class lessons topical to the class and prevent the lessons from becoming repetitive.
