I felt that this unit was helpful in regards to how to use speaking activities in the classroom, and how to creatively think and express their ideas for a short story. The structure of the writing task was really quite simple, yet useful in the way that it effectively uses a three stage (Engage, Study, Activate) layout. The use of group work and open discussion in this lesson was a reflection of the speaking and writing approach.This unit showed the difference between effective and ineffective teaching. It has helped me understand the importance of delivering good and effective teaching methods that helps student learning. In the first video, I felt so bad and frustrated because it has clearly showed how ineffective the techniques was being used. This is kinda challenging for me and I will do all my best and study harder to become more effective teacher.
