Learning about authentic materials, created materials, and course books has changed my view on how to use these materials. I think that the teaching ideas and the examples of the materials have given me a better idea of how to create materials by myself. This will definitely help with making classes more interesting and challenging for my students.
Also I have learnt more about choosing course books and what to look for when choosing one.This unit explained how to effectively teach vocabulary and language function and introduce grammatical structures. I learned what students will need to know from each of these three parts such as meaning, use, word grammar, interaction, spelling and pronunciation when it comes to teaching new vocabulary. This lesson also explained all the ways you can teach students within the ESA phases and gave sample lessons to help better understand.
