Evaluation and testing are important keys as they show where the students are with their learning. Tutorials, evaluation by students and tests are some ways to assess a student?s language level. There are different types of tests: progress, diagnostic and practice tests. Tests are tools used to know what students already know, on what they need to work more or just to give students an opportunity to practice.This unit was very useful, yet challenging for me as it covered a topic that is often neglected as a native speaker of English. It reintroduced the different tenses and how they change depending on the perspective of the speaker. Understanding the different conditionals is important as you have to understand the semantics of the sentences and how they differ depending on the speaker and when it is being spoken.
