Course books are very important in planning a lesson. It is interesting to know the difference between authentic and created materials. Authentic materials are stimulating both for teacher and student with authentic sources. On the other hand, created materials are great and very important to keep students interested in the class by being creative and doing something new to stimulate their thinking.In this unit it went over the types of materials used and available for lessons. It talked a lot about course books and where they fit in within the lesson. Depending on the teacher and the class, course books can be very helpful but it is important not too get too dependent on them, otherwise lesson may become boring and predictable. It's best to be creative and use a variety of different material.
