This section was very helpful at refreshing my mind about the basics of English grammar. As English is my mother tongue I was not taught English in this way however learning grammar will be extremely helpful for my career as a teacher., especially to students who's first langauage isn't English. Although my focus is on teaching kindergarten it is always useful to have a wide variety of skill sets.I found this unit a little confusing at first. There seem to be many little nuances and ways of saying some things that I had reread many times to (hopefully) fully understand. I took the English language for granted and thought I knew it all, however I find myself having to relearn all that I thought I knew. Having to put labels on parts of speech and understanding it are two different matters.
