This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
During this unit we learned about different formats of lesson plans. I was unfamiliar with the ESA (Engage, Study, Activate) model, as I am more used to the AAA (Activate, Aquire, Apply) model. It was confusing for me to adjust my thinking to were \"Activate\" was at the end. I also found the example activities such as Slow Pictionary, Hangman, and \"My Marvellous Machine\".This unit was very helpful by providing many examples of how to encourage students and improve their confidence in their writing and speaking skills. I enjoyed the example lessons and could definitely see myself implementing similar activities in future lesson plans. The difference between fluency and accuracy is important to distinguish as well as balance during activities.
