This lesson has taught me about conditionals and how to teach them. There are many different conditionals. There is the zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional, and lastly the mixed conditional. I also learned new teaching techniques in order to teach these concepts better. I also learned the difference between actual speech and direct speech and how we can report direct speech.Though this unit was very short it covered the basics of a lesson that is focussed on the receptive skills of listening and reading. It also provided a patchwork ESA lesson plan to better depict what a lesson would look like while teaching receptive skills. I learned that it is not just enough for them to understand the vocabulary at face value but be able to use surround context to fully comprehend the language.
