For me as a person without any teaching experience it was very interesting to write down my first own lesson plan using different phases of ESA lessons, such as ?Straight arrow? and ?Patchwork?. I tried to imagine which activities are matching better with Engage, Study and Activate stages; and I hope I understood them right. Also information content of lesson plan was very useful.I think that games can be very useful and encourage students to talk and also motivates them to care. For writing, I see that there are many more challenges different from speaking and that it encourages work on different areas than conversation would. I think that teaching writing could be difficult with a large class also since you could use one on one time for more effective teaching.
