During this unit, I found myself mostly thinking about how to deal with a school that gives you a syllabus, but not a list of required course materials. How would you teach a course without a textbook? You could make one required, and this would be easier, but wouldn't it be nicer to find a way to teach the course with a small cost to your students? I know there are lots of resources online that could help.This unit covered phonology and different teaching techniques for students. I did not realize there were so many sounds in the English language. In terms of pronunciation English seems to behind some of its Romance equivalents. There are two different sounds: voiced and unvoiced. Voiced require vibrations similar to vowels. Whereas unvoiced are often consonants. Different symbols exist for different sounds.
